As part of providing insurance for the Race, England Athletics requires that Runners who are not Members of an afilliated Athletics Club pay a surcharge in order for them to be covered during the race.

If you are a member of a Running Club afilliated to England Athletics, you will have had an option to pay an additional fee to get an England Athletics Competition Licence, if you do this you will receive a plastice credit card sized card with your details on from England Athletics or from your Club.

To claim "Affilliated" status and pay the reduced fee,  you should include your Competion Licence Number on your entry form.  If you claim to be a member of an afilliated Athletics Club and it turns out you are not, you may well be running without insurance.
