Have Trained Enough?
Running is a strenous activity and by the very nature of the event, a 10k race often finds runners stretching themselves further than they planned. Please ensure that you have done enough training and preparation so that you can enjoy the event and do not consider running if you have an exisiting injury. This has nothing to do with how fast you intend running, slower and novice runners are equally as welcome as experienced and faster Club runners.

Medical Cover
We take medical cover very seriously. We have a member of the Race Organising Team who takes on the role of Medical Director with responsibility for all medical issues. All Course Marshalls are issued with a list of emergency numbers allowing them to contact the the Medical Director and / or other Race Organisers by mobile phone who can then arrange St John Ambulance support. We have a fully equiped St John Ambulance support vehicle standing by and a St John ambulance control vehicle to co-ordinate their response ot any incident. At the Race HQ we have a dedicated room manned by a team from St John Ambulance waiting to treat any minor injuries that occur during the event.
