About Us

The Valentines 10k is organised by 26.2 Road Runners Club and was previously known as the 26.2 Winter 10k. The rebranding as the Valentines 10k came about as part of our decision in 2004 to actively support the British Heart Foundation. Given this support and the timing of the race in mid February, the Valentines tag seemed apt.

26.2 Road Runners Club was founded in 1981 following the return of four Runners from the New York Marathon. Our Club is based in Surbiton and we meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We get a large number of Runners in the race who do not belong to a Running Club and we would actively encourage these Runners to consider joining a local Club. At 26.2 Road Runners Club we welcome new members of all standards.
